Why We Do Hard Things

I am forever grateful for my time at Kings Point, especially playing rugby. It has been a little over 15 years since I played my last match and it has taken that much time to reconnect with what I learned on and off the field. It has become my truest calling and passion in life:
What fires me up, what gets me out of bed in the morning, what allows energy and power to flow through to me endlessly is going through the shit with people you enjoy being around.
“Do Hard Things” is straight out of a cliche self help playbook.
Doing hard things as an individual is important,
Hard runs,
Hard lifts,
Hard projects by choice help keep you sharp for the inevitable hardships life will throw at you.
The real magic happens through accomplishing hard things as a team.
Humans were not meant to wander alone. We were meant to come together as a strategic group stronger than the sum of its parts. A group that can walk through the fire together, that can overcome any challenge no matter how daunting and share in the spoils after it's over.
The bonds that you form through that dopamine-fueled sense of accomplishment after fighting for victory are what truly matter.
