How do you react to pain, disappointment, and losses?


This mental pain can be significantly more crippling than physical pain.


Physical pain is real, is mental pain real?  Or do we have control over whether or not we feel that?


Take a deep breath and widen your perspective:


In the end,

Over the course of the next few days,

Few months,

Few years,

This issue will matter much less than the strategic decisions that you need to make right now,

How you treat the people around you,

How you teach yourself to react to pain,

Your resilience through adversity,

Your grit.


If you allow losses and pain to change who you are, what else will be able to control you?  Who will you become?


Take a deep breath, keep your eye on the North Star, and continue to move forward with purpose.


Maintain perspective on what matters, relationships, equanimity, peace.
