Reflecting on a heavy week.
The public assassination of Charlie Kirk,
September 11th,
The murder of Iryna Zarutska just now making its way to the news channels.
We show up every day:
Set goals,
Make plans for the future,
Live with intention,
Grow,
Give back,
Make an impact,
For what? Because self-help books and influencers tell us we should?
When experiencing heavy events like this, it can weigh on your purpose, weigh on your mind, create a unique emotional cocktail.
It can throw off things you thought were true, break these fragile veils of safety we thought we lived within.
How do you react?
Eh, not my problem, doesn’t really affect me, keep it moving?
Rage? Rage at the liberals or hatred towards conservatives? Us vs.Them?
Buy more guns and ammo?
Pacifist? Turn the other cheek? Meditate on it and sing Kumbaya? Wish
for or work towards some utopia where we all get along?
Stoically, fully understanding that death, hatred, fear are part of life, part
of the human experience. Although there will be scars and some will
be affected more than others, this too shall pass?
The correct answer cannot be found out there, it is within you, it is your choice.
The truth is subjective.
Power is confidently knowing what truth means to you, what is your truth? Have you ever sat and answered that question?
Live with values that reflect your personal truth.
Stand by them when it is not convenient to do so.
Reflect on your truth when you find yourself in the majority, in the mob.
Continue to evolve, continue to change.
The path forward is within you, it always has been.
