Thoughts on Being Present

Setting goals, visioning, and executing daily are sure ways to manifest the future you want for yourself.
I spent a good amount of time on airplanes this past week and put myself through a thought scenario where I imagined every business and personal goal I had was accomplished.
Then I asked myself what I was feeling:
Gratitude, nobody is self-made, this was done together as a team
Deep friendships and gratitude for all who supported us along the way
A sense of peace
Gratitude for my family
Overwhelming feeling of abundance
Responsibility and deep purpose in giving back
A sense of oneness
I read through my brainstormed list and realized that these are all feelings that if I wanted to, I could feel right now, every single day.
Any stress and pressure I put on myself to accomplish is because I plant those thoughts in my own mind.
With focus, you can live every day in peace and equanimity, you can live each day as if you are already there. My theory is if you choose to live like this — you will get there much faster, and with less pain than you would otherwise.Your future exists in your mind, but not yet in reality.
It is a shame to live each day with your mind in the future without being present for all the joys and happiness that you are surrounded by right now.
